Who can tell me about the Brisbane Bottle Exchange Propty Limited
I am on holidays at present on Curlew Retreat. I went for a walk today down a reentrant which joins Curlew Gorge. I found a beer bottle made by the "Brisbane Bottle Exchange Propty Limited", embossed on the base of the neck of the bottle.
The land was "selected" in the 1880s and has been inhabited since then. I suspect the bottle might go back almost as far.
Various search engines do not turn up much. If anyone knows anything about this please comment.
